Location
The Pickle Island at Arcade Independence is set against the restored colonial heritage buildings of one of the city's most attractive spots. These were among Colombo's first pickleball courts.
The courts and facilities
Three dedicated outdoor courts, well lit and well maintained. Paddles and balls are available on-site, so you don't need your own gear. Being inside the Arcade complex means ample free parking, proper restroom access, and plenty of cafés right next door.
Atmosphere
Friendly and beginner-welcoming, with staff who'll walk you through the basics.
Visiting
Open early mornings and evenings on weekdays, with longer hours on weekends. As an outdoor court, the surface can get slippery in rain, so wear shoes with solid grip. A good place to start, especially for first-timers and visitors passing through Colombo.
