Practicalities that apply across every court in the city.
Roughly half the courts are outdoor, half indoor. Outdoor venues play best early morning and late evening once the city has cooled. Indoor venues run regardless of weather and matter most during the May–September monsoon.
Every venue provides paddles and balls free with court rental. Bring court shoes (non-marking soles) and water. If you decide to buy your own paddle, prices in Sri Lanka start around LKR 8,000.
LKR 2,500 to LKR 4,500 per hour at most Colombo venues. The typical rate is LKR 4,000, cheap when split across four doubles players. Just east in Rajagiriya, Air Sports Club runs LKR 7,000 per hour for 4–6 players.
Most venues take walk-ins outside peak hours. For weekend evenings and weekday post-work slots (6–9 PM), call ahead or use PlayBook.
