About PIQL.
Location
PIQL is in Kandana, on the main Colombo to Negombo road, about half an hour north of the city. It is the first dedicated pickleball venue in this stretch, so players up here no longer have to drive into Colombo or out to Negombo for a game.
The courts and facilities
Two indoor courts, which means the midday heat and the monsoon do not get in the way of a session. Paddles and balls are provided, so you can turn up empty-handed or bring someone who has never played. It is a new venue and still adding to what it offers.
Good to know
PIQL has only just opened, so this is early days. It runs 7am to 9pm every day, early enough for a game before work and late enough for one after. You can book a slot through their own site at piql.lk, and pricing is being finalised.
